Some great advice considering these times from Paul the apostle:

Always be filled with joy in the Lord. I will say it again. Be filled with joy.  Let everyone see that you are gentle and kind. The Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks for what you have. And because you belong to Christ Jesus, God’s peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings. His peace can do this far better than our human minds.

Brothers and sisters, continue to think about what is good and worthy of praise. Think about what is true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected.  And do what you learned and received from me—what I told you and what you saw me do. And the God who gives peace will be with you.

Philippians 4-9 (ERV)

NEXT EVENTS FOR 2021

Church Services Suspended

Dear members of our congregation, it is with sadness and disappointment that I inform you that over these next few weeks, primarily because of the alarming rise of Covid-19 infections in the community, our congregations will no longer be physically gathering for worship.

This decision was taken by the General Council of our Church.

Part of their statement follows:

In light of our ongoing consultations and of the current serious and worsening situation, and in line with unequivocal public health guidance that people should stay at home, the General Council, acting with the delegated authority of the General Assembly, has directed that, for a limited period (from Friday 8th January until Saturday 6th February 2021 inclusive, subject to review in late January) all in-person Sunday gatherings for worship, along with all other in person church gatherings, should cease in all PCI congregations in Northern Ireland - with the exception of weddings, funerals, arrangements for recording and/or live-streaming, drive-in services and private prayer (as permitted by regulations).  This same step is also being taken today by the Methodist Church, the Church of Ireland and the Roman Catholic Church, along with a number of others.

I will record services over those Sundays when we cannot gather for worship.

Let us be confident in our great God in these difficult days.
